ATC Wins 1st Place at MIFA States 2026!

🏆 STATE CHAMPIONS!! 🏆

I am absolutely bursting with pride and struggling to find the words, but here it goes: The Avondale Theatre Company has done it again! 🥇✨

Today was an incredible whirlwind at the MIFA State Finals. We shared the Division 2 Studio Stage with some of the most talented schools from across the entire state of Michigan—students who, just like ours, fought through Districts and Regionals to earn their spot under those lights. The level of talent we saw today was nothing short of breathtaking.

But tonight... tonight belonged to Avondale. 💜💛

We are coming home with:

1️⃣ The People’s Choice Award – This one hits deep. It’s an honor voted on by the directors of every competing school. To be recognized by our peers in this way is truly humbling.

2️⃣ FIRST PLACE STATE CHAMPIONS! 🏆

That’s right! Mr. Sheldon, you better tell the tech team to clear some space, because we’ve got ANOTHER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER coming to the Avondale Performing Arts Center! 🚩🎭

A massive, heartfelt congratulations to our phenomenal students. You poured your souls into this craft and it showed. To our mentors and the incomparable Mr. Sheldon: thank you for sharing your brilliance and creating a space where these students can find their joy and build entire worlds on stage.

And to our Theatre Boosters of Avondale and caregivers—thank you. Your endless hours, dedication, and support are the backbone of this company. You allow these stars to shine.
